Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of HomeProSherpa. In plain terms: we're a homeowner guide — not a contractor, and not your financial or legal adviser. Please read these alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
01 · What this is
Informational only — we're not a contractor
HomeProSherpa publishes guides about hiring home-services contractors. We do not perform any contracting work, do not employ contractors, and are not a party to any contract between you and a contractor. Any contractor you hire works under their terms.
Nothing on HomeProSherpa is financial, legal or professional advice, nor a recommendation to hire a specific contractor.
02 · No warranty on the content
Accuracy of guidance & details
We work hard to keep information correct, but contractors change their pricing, licence status, warranties and service areas. Our guides provide general information, not verification of a particular contractor. We provide the site “as is,” with no warranty that any statement or detail is current, complete or error-free. Always verify a contractor's licence with the relevant state or local authority, confirm insurance with the carrier, and read every written quote before you rely on anything — the contractor's terms govern, not ours.
04 · Who may use the site
Eligibility
You must be a homeowner (or authorised decision-maker) of legal age to enter a contract where you live. External websites have their own data practices. See our Privacy Policy and the destination's notice.
05 · Your responsibility
Verify the contractor and the contract
Licensing, permitting and consumer-protection rules differ by state and municipality. It is your responsibility to verify a contractor's license, read every quote and financing term, and confirm the scope in writing before you sign. We make no representation that any contractor, price or financing offer is available or suitable for your home.
06 · Intellectual property
Intellectual property
The HomeProSherpa name, the wayfinder mark, the site design, text and original graphics are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable IP laws. You may view and share links to our pages, but you may not copy, scrape, republish or commercially reuse our content without permission. Third-party names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
07 · Liability
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HomeProSherpa and the operating entity are not liable for any loss — including the cost of any work, lost money, or any indirect or consequential damage — arising from your use of this site, from reliance on its content, or from your dealings with any contractor. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights).
08 · Governing law
Governing law & changes
These terms are governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, applicable law. Nothing in them removes the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version always lives on this page, with the date above.
Partner permissions
Marketing & partner communications
If you opt in to marketing from HomeProSherpa — for example by subscribing to updates — you consent to receiving email and/or SMS marketing from the operator and from the partner brands whose domains are listed below. We only send marketing where you have given this consent.
You can withdraw it at any time — use the unsubscribe link in any message, or contact us at [email protected] — and withdrawal does not affect any processing carried out before it. We will still send essential service messages (for example, replies to an enquiry you sent us).
